After working in the garden I snipped off some Chives and decided to make some French Onion Dip for an afternoon snack. A creamy indulgent appetizer was just what we needed after a long day working in the garden. Perfect with your favorite potato chip or slice up some carrots and celery. It takes a bit more time than the classic box recipe but the depth of flavor is so worth the investment.
French Onion Dip
- Heat a skillet on medium heat and Brown Butter in skillet. Add sliced onions and season with Borsari Original. Stir occasionally. Once browned add honey and dry Vermouth and stir to incorporate flavors. Remove from heat.
- Add onions to the food processor with your sour cream and cream cheese. Pulse until onions are chopped smaller and the dip becomes smooth.
- Serve Warm or Cold and top with Chopped Chives.
