The chamomile growing in the garden is ready for brewing. There is such a relaxing fragrance from chamomile. I took this small bunch and filled up my teapot and let the water steep for about 2 minutes.
The fresh chamomile tea is packed with flavor. Steeping some fresh chamomile after a hard day of gardening is a perfect way of easing into a good night’s sleep.
My Grandma Rader instilled in me my love for tea. She always had fanciful tea pots at her house. Her go to tea was just a plain black tea with cream and plenty of sugar. I’ve grown to incorporate all sorts of teas and just do a dash of cream.
“Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world revolves, slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future. Live the actual moment. Only this moment is life.”Thich Nhat Hanh
