We thrive on reusing unwanted things. It’s our creative nature. After awhile you get tired of recycling your wine bottles. You think to yourself there must a use for all these bottles. Here are two of our favorite tips on upcycling your wine bottles in the garden.
The first is to use them as hose guards. Bruce used an angle grinder and cut 1/2″ Conduit Pipe that we had left over from another project. Any pipe will work as long as it fits into your bottle. Pound the pipe around your garden to protect your plants from your hose. Then pop over a wine bottle. Preferably a pretty colored glass one. Plain clear ones are ok but pick a label that matches your decor.
Second tip… For containers that are big or in your raised garden. Fill a wine bottle up with water and flip it on into the garden and it will slowly water your plant during the day when it needs it. You can open another bottle of wine and enjoy your garden while your bottle feeds your garden.
