Bacon Crackers are my go to holiday appetizers. This weekend we made these savory and rich bacon appetizers for a cocktail party where the feature was homemade eggnog. It’s a good balance to all the sweetness that eggnog brings. They’re usually on my appetizer menu for Christmas Eve. It’s always a winner and your guests will be all… how they were made, what’s in them, they’re so good. A nod to The Pioneer Women where I first got this recipe. I do put a twist with some garlic seasoning added.
- 2 packs Club Crackers
- Parmesan cheese Grated
- 1 lb Bacon
- Borsari Original Seasoning
- Take your bacon and cut the bacon in half. Count how many pieces you have and layout that amount of crackers on a wire rack placed over a cooking sheet. Grab a bottle of parmesan cheese and a spoon. Then spoon a teaspoon of parmesan cheese over the cracker. Wrap the bacon around the cracker and cheese making sure the bacon ends are on the bottom of the cracker so it bakes without unraveling. I then use Borsari Original blend and shake it over the top of the bacon. They then go into the oven at 250 for 2 HOURS! Yes, two hours. Crazy long time but it's worth it.
